Many eyes. Many hearts. Together, with the eyes and hearts of communities we can begin to understand and work toward solutions. We work within existing social structures to empower the people of the Amazon and strengthen their communities by creating relationships and communal responsibility. We are able to work from the bottom up by having the communities decide what course of action they would like to take towards the bettering of their people.
Essentially, we know we don’t have all the answers! We believe that working with many community members, local authority figures, as well as governmental and non-governmental organizations in Peru will help us to better help the communities of the Amazon. The more people that are able to see and to care for the problem the better we are able to find clear solutions.
We have started at the root of the health problem in the Amazon Region of Peru by providing clean and potable water to the people of the communities we serve.
We strive to provide sustainable medical attention to the communities we work with so that they can remain healthy and reach the futures they desire.
Clean water and medical attention are necessary but incomplete without educating the communities and answering their questions about the illnesses most common in the areas they live.
We listen to the communities to understand their needs and desires. We then amplify their voices and let them be heard by those who can help to effect the change they wish to see.
